Pete Skidmore Jr. graduated from Fort Mill High School and went to The Citadel, where he completed his first year of college. After his first year of college, Pete was deployed to Iraq in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

In 2012, with over 7 years of investigation work experience, Pete went on to finish his college career at Winthrop University. He graduated with a degree in Sociology and Concentration in Criminology.

While studying at Winthrop, his drive to work for social justice only grew stronger. His time at Winthrop would be a driving force for Pete to continue to fight for individuals who in the past had felt they did not have an advocate fighting on their behalf.

While working as a private investigator, primarily on cases involving the most serious of crimes; over 100 murder cases, assisted in at least four death penalty cases, worked two federal death penalty cases, as well as numerous other criminal cases including but not limited to, drug trafficking, assault and battery with intent to kill, criminal sexual conduct, arson, and Post-Conviction Relief (PCR) cases.

Pete has been qualified as an expert in General Sessions Court regarding cell phone forensics.  He has testified numerous times in a variety of different court systems throughout the state of South Carolina.

When Pete is not working, he especially cherishes his time with the loves of his life, his wife, his son and his daughter. Pete is an active member at Good Shepperd Church, a church that is inviting ALL people into a living relationship with Jesus Christ.

Pete is also a founding member and the former President of the South Carolina Public Defender Investigators Association.
